Garden Decor from Bali
The pieces that make a garden feel like it’s been there forever
Bali’s stone-carving tradition has produced garden ornaments for the international market for decades. The quality spectrum is wide, from mass-produced tourist pieces to genuinely crafted sculptural work that landscape designers specify for high-end private gardens, hotels, and spas. The difference in quality is obvious up close. The difference between sourcing agents who can find the right end of that spectrum is what I offer.

What I source in garden decor
- Traditional Balinese stone statues: guardian figures, Ganesha, Buddha
- Contemporary abstract stone sculptures
- Stone water features: fountains, basins, waterspouts
- Terracotta and clay planters, large and statement pieces
- Carved stone garden seats and benches
- Decorative stone panels for garden walls
Garden pieces ship well alongside Bali handicrafts wholesale in the same consignment. For larger landscaping and terrace schemes, see how I work with hotel and villa projects.
Stone ornaments and weather
Most Bali stone garden ornaments are made from paras stone or lavastone. The considerations for outdoor use are the same as on the natural stone pages. Lavastone handles freeze-thaw climates well. Paras stone is better in temperate or warm climates, or in protected positions.
For clients in Germany, the Netherlands, or northern France: I’ll advise on which stone types are appropriate for your climate before you order.
