Bali Sourcing Agent: someone actually on the ground
A lot of companies call themselves Bali sourcing agents. Some of them are based in Europe, managing suppliers via WhatsApp. Some use local runners they’ve never met in person. Some will source anything for anyone and tell every client their supplier is “verified.” Here’s what I actually do.
I live here. It’s my language. I visit in person.
I live in Bali full-time. Bahasa Indonesia is my first language. When you send me a sourcing brief, I visit suppliers in person. I look at their workshop, meet the people who’d be making your order, check past work, and ask the questions that matter. In Bahasa, face to face, where honest conversations happen.

What happens when you hire me as your sourcing agent
01: You send me a brief
Photos, references, specifications, quantities, whatever you have. I’ll ask questions if I need to.
02: I search my network first
20+ years of supplier relationships. Most requests I can match from existing contacts, which means faster timelines and more reliable quality.
03: I visit the shortlist in person
I physically go to the workshops. I see the operation. I meet the people. I take photos and send you a report.
04: Samples and approval
Before production starts, I arrange samples or detailed photo documentation. Nothing moves without your sign-off.
05: I manage production
I stay in contact with the supplier throughout, not just at the start and end. If something’s going wrong, I find out early.
06: Quality control before shipping
I inspect the goods. Specifications, quantity, finish, packaging. If it’s not right, it gets fixed.
07: Export and shipping
I handle the documentation and coordinate with my cargo partner. You get updates throughout.

Frequently asked questions
How much do you charge for sourcing?
I charge a commission of 15% on the value of the goods, excluding shipping. That is the rate for everyone, whatever the size of the order. No retainer, no hidden fees, no supplier kickbacks. Shipping is quoted separately and paid before anything moves.
Do you only source from Bali?
Primarily yes. Bali is where my network and expertise are. In some cases I can reach into Java or other Indonesian islands, but Bali is where I can truly vouch for quality and relationships.
How long does sourcing take?
Initial supplier shortlist within 3–5 business days for a standard brief. Sampling and approval add 1–2 weeks. Then production time varies by product. I’ll give you a realistic timeline from the start.
What products can you source?
Furniture (indoor and outdoor), natural stone, building materials, home decor, handicrafts, lighting, garden ornaments, and textiles.
