Natural Stone Tiles from Bali

The floor underfoot sets the tone for everything above it

Natural stone tiles from Bali have been specified by architects across Europe, Australia, and Asia for decades. The range of materials, lavastone, limestone and terracotta, combined with Bali’s processing expertise, means you can source tiles here that genuinely aren’t available anywhere else at comparable price and quality.

Tile types I source from Bali

Lavastone (basalt) tiles

Dark, dense, extremely durable. Finishes: natural split, brushed, honed, sandblasted. Standard sizes from 10×10cm to 60×60cm and larger custom cuts. More detail on lavastone.

Limestone tiles

Warm, textured, naturally varied. Best for interior and sheltered exterior applications. Finishes: honed, tumbled, bush-hammered. More detail on limestone from Bali.

Terracotta tiles

Traditional Indonesian fired clay in warm red-orange tones, porous. Best for covered outdoor and rustic interior applications. Often used in Bali-style residential builds.

Mixed stone mosaics

Pebble mosaics, stone chip sheets, and hand-cut mosaic patterns. Popular for bathroom floors, shower walls, and decorative panels.

For outdoor paving rather than tiling, see stone pavers. To compare the materials before you specify, read the natural stone guide.

Practical information for tile importers

  • Minimum order quantities vary by tile type, ask for your specific requirements
  • Tiles ship on pallets in FCL (full container loads) or consolidated LCL
  • Sample sets can be arranged before full orders are placed
  • Stone itself needs no CITES or phytosanitary certificate. The wooden pallets do need ISPM 15 heat treatment and marking, which I check before loading
  • Natural variation in colour and texture is inherent, so I photograph your specific batch before it ships

Stone reaches a container’s weight limit long before it fills the space, which changes how an order is packed and quoted. See shipping and logistics from Bali.

Frequently asked questions

Can I mix different tile types in one container?

Yes, consolidating multiple stone types into one FCL is common. I coordinate the sourcing from different suppliers and manage the documentation for the combined shipment.

What sizes are available?

Standard: 30×30, 40×40, 60×30, 60×60 cm. Irregular and custom sizes available with minimum quantities. I’ll confirm current stock availability with suppliers at the time of your order.

Can I get samples before ordering?

Yes. For trade orders I can arrange sample sets, either documented with photos and sent to you, or physically shipped for significant orders. I always recommend samples for stone.
